Position Purpose:

As a Veterinary Hospital Concierge, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our Vetco Total Care hospital clients. You will embody our mission and values, being the first and last point of contact for clients and their pets. Your responsibilities will help create a positive and cohesive work environment.

  • Prioritize the needs of patients and ensure every team member feels empowered to create exceptional experiences.
  • Effectively handle any issues that arise and foster teamwork and commitment to shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an organized calendar.
  • Greet clients and patients warmly as they arrive for their appointments, maintaining excellent communication.
  • Support the training of new staff members and share knowledge as needed.
  • Keep the waiting area clean and well-stocked.
  • Monitor wait times and accommodate clients during busy periods.
  • Understand practice logistics to assist the medical staff when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least one year of experience in a veterinary or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Compassionate demeanor and professional attitude, especially in stressful situations.
  • Strong telephone and computer skills.
  • A willingness to learn and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with a Practice Management System.

This job will take place in a Vetco Total Care full-service veterinary hospital. You should be prepared to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods while interacting with clients and their pets.
