About the Job:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to join their Miami-based design team. This position involves working on major projects, including data centers, industrial facilities, commercial offices, healthcare buildings, and other landmark developments throughout the region. Collaboration is central to their work, and this role involves close coordination with internal staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Occasional travel to job sites across Florida for site observations and client meetings will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and design electrical systems for large-scale and complex projects.
• Perform detailed electrical design calculations and ensure compliance with local Miami-Dade codes and national standards.
• Provide review, signing, and sealing of project documents.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and assist with the preparation of record drawings.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and participate in commissioning efforts.
• Develop and refine electrical equipment specifications, select equipment, and define system layouts.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget expectations.

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of electrical engineering design experience in the construction industry.
• Valid P.E. license (or ability to obtain); Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience designing power systems for data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, or other large commercial facilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong working knowledge of Miami-Dade building codes, NEC, NFPA standards, and relevant regulations.
• Expertise with large-scale standby/emergency power systems and interactive generator controls.
• Preferred: Experience with Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies, plus Medium Voltage equipment specification.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
