Overview

Seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to manage the company's cloud architecture, implementation, and positioning within cloud environments. This strategic and hands-on role involves migrating to and maintaining all cloud systems, including front-end platforms, servers, storage, and management networks.

Ideal Candidate

Will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, along with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share knowledge.

Responsibilities

1. Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process.
2. Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
3. Develop and organize cloud systems.
4. Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
5. Maintain in-depth knowledge of cloud governance, security operations, and implementations.
6. Respond to technical issues professionally and promptly.
7. Identify optimal cloud architecture solutions to meet strategic company needs.
8. Develop migration and implementation roadmaps after analyzing existing service catalogs.
9. Provide guidance on infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers and migrations into the cloud.

Requirements

1. B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent degree and/or experience.
2. 10+ years of industry experience.
3. At least 2 years of experience with Google Cloud and 3+ years with AWS or Azure.
4. Deep knowledge of build delivery engineering and hands-on experience with automation tools.
5. Experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker, Kubernetes.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Data Store, Cloud Storage.
7. Familiarity with Cloud Bigtable, BigQuery.
8. Experience with cloud computing concepts like VPC, DNS, CDN, Load Balancing, and Auto Scaling.
9. Basic understanding of Security and IAM on GCP; knowledge of StackDriver (Monitoring, Logging, Debugging, Tracing).
10. Google and AWS certifications are a plus.
