Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher/Route Optimizer to join our vacuum truck company. This remote position offers flexible hours and focuses on coordinating efficient transportation operations, ensuring timely service, and optimizing routes to maximize productivity. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has expertise in dispatching and route planning, with preferred knowledge of Service Fusion and Samsara applications.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule drivers, vehicles to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Optimize routes to reduce costs and fuel consumption while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.
Monitor driver performance, vehicle status, and delivery progress using dispatching software.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and service completions.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Utilize Service Fusion and Samsara applications (preferred) to streamline operations and track fleet performance.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dispatcher or route optimizer in the trucking or logistics industry.
Proficiency in dispatching software, with preferred knowledge of Service Fusion and Samsara applications.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation logistics.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with route optimization tools and techniques.
Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Service Fusion for service management and scheduling.
Familiarity with Samsara for fleet tracking, ELD compliance, and telematics.
Knowledge of geographic regions and major transportation routes.
