Job Description

The Training Specialist will support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Matthews™ training initiatives, including Matthews™ University. This role plays a key part in equipping our agents with the skills and resources needed to succeed in commercial real estate brokerage, ensuring that training aligns with organizational priorities and fosters a culture of continuous learning. The Training Specialist will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to create engaging learning experiences that drive professional growth and organizational performance.

Please note this is not a remote position. This role is based out of our Nashville office and does not require travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the planning and administration of Matthews™ University and other training programs year-round.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance program design, delivery methods, and participant engagement.
  • Leverage technology and digital platforms to streamline program delivery and expand learning opportunities.

Training Content & Resources

  • Oversee updates to training curriculum, lesson plans, and learning paths.
  • Manage the creation, revision, and organization of training resources in the Knowledge Base and Market Leader Toolbox.
  • Ensure training content reflects best practices and organizational goals.

Development

  • Develop learning pathways to support career growth and professional development across the organization.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with Recruiting, Agent Relations, and other departments to integrate training with broader talent initiatives.
  • Coordinate national trainings across offices via Microsoft Teams and other platforms.
  • Communicate program updates, new resources, and strategic initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.

Measurement & Improvement

  • Track training participation, effectiveness, and feedback to recommend improvements.
  • Stay current on learning and development trends and propose innovative solutions.
  • Assist with training budget tracking and reporting.

Additional Support

  • Provide assistance with recruiting initiatives, events, and special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Recruiting & Training.

Impact Statement

  • Success in this role will be measured by the effectiveness of training programs, demonstrated through increased agent and Market Leader engagement, skill development, and positive program feedback. The Training Specialist will play a vital role in enhancing organizational capability, improving retention, and supporting the professional growth of team members across MREIS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant degree or related industry or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience working in recruiting, learning and development, or administrative capacity in a fast-paced start up environment.
  • Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and event-planning skills.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator, with the professionalism and business acumen that is necessary to interact with candidates, universities, hiring managers and senior leaders within the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignment simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current trends, best practices and methodologies around training.
  • Ideally have some level of experience and understanding commercial real estate
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Classrooms and Handshake is a plus.
  • Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) is strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
