Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate physical therapist to join our cash-based clinical team. As a physical therapist in our clinic, you will have the unique opportunity to provide personalized, high-quality care to clients without the constraints of insurance billing. You will work closely with clients to help them recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and optimize their physical function and well-being through evidence-based treatments and interventions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, including assessing range of motion, strength, flexibility, posture, and functional mobility.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing a combination of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
Provide hands-on treatment interventions, such as joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic taping, and neuromuscular re-education, to address clients' impairments and promote tissue healing and recovery.
Instruct and supervise clients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, endurance, balance, coordination, and proprioception, both in the clinic and as part of home exercise programs.
Educate clients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation and ongoing wellness.
Document clients' progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, athletic trainers, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate care and optimize clients' outcomes.
Stay current with advances in physical therapy research, techniques, and best practices, participating in continuing education activities and professional development opportunities.
Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in all client interactions, demonstrating empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
Uphold high standards of clinical excellence, ethical conduct, and professionalism in accordance with state practice acts and professional guidelines.
Qualifications:
Licensed physical therapist with current state licensure and in good standing.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an outpatient sports/orthopedic setting.
Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills, with the ability to perform comprehensive evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise prescription, and modalities commonly used in physical therapy practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, engage in active listening, and convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care and fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
CPR/AED certification preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate clients' schedules.
Experience with cash-based or direct-pay models of healthcare delivery is a plus.
Benefits:
Opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment with autonomy to practice at the highest level of your licensure.
Flexible scheduling options to maintain work-life balance and accommodate personal commitments.
The satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in clients' lives by helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
