About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee construction quality and compliance for a K-12 school project in Yuma, AZ. The QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets project specifications, applicable codes, and the general contractor’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Control Plan in coordination with project management and site supervision teams.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify compliance prior to construction activities.
  • Conduct daily inspections of work in progress and document results using company QA/QC software.
  • Identify and track non-conformance issues , coordinate corrective actions, and verify close-out.
  • Oversee material testing, third-party inspections, and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections, tests, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and Subcontractors to prevent quality issues.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and punch-list inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, project specifications, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of quality control experience in commercial or institutional construction (school construction experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of local and state building codes and construction best practices .
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, submittals, and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, or similar project management software .
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
