Texas Orthopedic Hospital is seeking an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join its team of existing Orthopedic Specialists in Houston, Texas. Job Summary: Qualified Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in orthopedics and have the ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing. Candidates with experience or new fellows will be considered. Must be board certified or board eligible in orthopedics Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing Candidates with experience or new fellows will be considered Physician Duties & Responsibilities: Meet with patients to assess their symptoms; inquire into the nature of their illness or injury Accurately identify and diagnose medical conditions Thoroughly examine patients and attend to their chief complaint Answer and advise on any other questions or concerns the patient might have Assign appropriate treatment plan according to each patient's needs Educate and inform patient of necessary treatment plan and any follow-up appointments Perform clinical tests to better inform diagnosis Perform Office-based procedures Prescribe appropriate medicines or therapy Calculate correct medication dosage for each patient and educate on proper use Order outside diagnostic tests and lab work as needed Analyze and share results of diagnostic testing with patient Continually chart and maintain patient information on paper and in computer system Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition and progress About Texas Orthopedic Hospital Texas Orthopedic Hospital, a partially physician-owned facility, and an affiliate of HCA Houston Healthcare, is a global leader in orthopedic care and houses the internationally recognized physicians of Fondren Orthopedic Group.
