Job Description

Position Summary:

The Materials Database Specialist is responsible for the creation and updates to new and existing master data within Infor Lawson V11. This position will maintain data accuracy and cleanliness by performing integrity checks and cleansing, training and support requestors. Also, maintain vendor master list to ensure contracts are up to date. Make decisions on which products need to be purchased by cost, availability, contract and vendor that best meets the requests of Bozeman Health. Monitor the daily backorder report generated through GHX and Purchase Order (PO) updates daily. Act as the main liaison between Materials Management, IT, Finance, PFS and other departments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • One (1) year of experience in inventory management/purchasing processes

  • Two (2) years of combined experience in Item Master database management, Materials Management Information Systems, and database analysis.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Change Management

  • Experienced with Lawson / Infor MMIS modules

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

  • Process requests for item master data updates (e.g. additions or modifications), including data intergrity in Lawson

  • Work and collaborate with internal business partners to ensure data requests are complete and comply with standards

  • Ensure all new and expired contracts are processed / updated in data

  • Manage data standardization, vendor research, data categorization, contract research, price updates and other tasks related to maintenance of customer data

  • Process daily transactions

  • Build chargable items in the Item Master

  • Ad-hoc projects as requested

Schedule Requirements

  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.

  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.

  • On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
