Job Summary

Lead Phlebotomist is responsible for the collection and processing of blood and other specimens. May be responsible for performance of selected point of care laboratory tests. Responsible for assisting Section Head with phlebotomy training and assigned supervisory duties.

Job Requirements

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

• Required: 6 months phlebotomy experience

Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Proficient in using computers and computer systems

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Preferred: Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician from a nationally recognized laboratory certifying agency
