Forklift Operator

Millwood is accepting applications for the Forklift Operator position. The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and the operation of machinery with the goal of streamlining company production and the upkeep of customer satisfaction .

Reports to: Plant Manager and floor supervisors

Position summary:

The primary function is to operate powered forklift moving materials and finished goods through plant, load and unload trailers with forklift. Maintaining an organized and efficient plant and yard.

Duties include:

• Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol.
• Maintain certification to operate forklift.
• Load and unload materials, ensure materials are staged for counting/inspection.
• Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
• Responsible for pulling products and shipping direct to customers, ensuring that quantities, parts, and packaging are correct.
• Properly load products to maintain weight distribution and balance on outbound delivery trucks.
• Verify correct products and materials against bill of lading or other documentation.
• Ensure the equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and perform daily pre-shift inspections; ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed.
• Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior forklift experience needed
• High school diploma or GED Equivalent
• Related experience is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills

Requirements:

• Ability to pass a drug test
• You must be 18 years of age
• Physically able to lift 50lbs as needed
• Physically ability to stand, bend/stoop, kneel, lift, reach and other physical tasks during an 8-10-hour shift.
• Must maintain safe and tidy workspace
• Ability to understand and complete job tasks accurately

Starting Pay Rate : $17.00/Hr.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 5:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Work Location : One location

Apple Creek, OH : (44606) Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
