Responsibilities & Expectations: This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to modify, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and components at our Southland Automation facility in High Point. Provide repairs of electrical equipment and components Read and interpret equipment manuals, SDS, safety materials, system drawings, diagrams, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Solder and desolder as needed Qualifications and Competencies: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of two (2) years working in an industrial electrical service repair position with switchboards, motor controls, E-houses preferred; electronics and/or computer repair is helpful Must be comfortable with electrical equipment and components and have mechanical/electrical aptitude Must have soldering experience Good at developing solutions to equipment operational problems Read, interpret, and modify documents and schematics High degree of technical aptitude and math skills Strong organizational and customer service skills Safe work practices You’ll thrive at IPS if you… Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
