Position Overview The University of South Dakota’s Office of the Registrar is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Degree Auditor. The position is responsible for auditing of all undergraduate students who have reached 65-70 credit hours. Tasks include completing the original official degree audit, shortage and final audit, and conferral of degrees for undergraduate students. One‑on‑one communication with students, academic chairs, academic deans and Academic Affairs is an important daily responsibility, and ongoing support for graduation is also a large part of the position. The incumbent will have the ability to manipulate Excel spreadsheets and to use Banner SIS. Four‑year degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to make sound decisions based on curricular requirements. Ability to make sound decisions based on information and data received associated with the process of commencement. Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Ability to learn Banner software and work with queries in administrative software; experience preferred. Ability to operate a PC and necessary software packages. Ability to analyze a variety of administrative problems.
