Aerodyn Engineering is hiring an experienced CMM Programmer/Operator to join our advanced manufacturing team in Indianapolis, IN . In this hands-on role, you’ll program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso , inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace and automotive components. Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Program and operate Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Calypso software
\n
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components with tolerances down to 0.0001"
\n
• Verify machine and probe calibration for measurement accuracy
\n
• Identify defects, generate non-conformance reports , and document results per AS9100/ISO9001
\n
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to uphold the highest inspection standards
\n
• Create and maintain inspection documentation and clear reporting using Microsoft Office tools
\n
• Recommend process improvements based on inspection trends
\n

✅ Qualifications \n

\n
• 3+ years of experience as a CMM programmer/operator , preferably in aerospace or automotive
\n
• Expertise with Zeiss CMM equipment and Calypso programming
\n
• Strong understanding of GD&T , blueprint reading, and tight-tolerance measurement techniques
\n
• Skilled in use of micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools
\n
• Familiar with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality management systems
\n
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating in a fast-paced, R&D-focused shop environment
\n
