Primary Purpose A CMM Programmer will create automated CMM programs using Calypso. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Create automated CMM programs using Calypso for Zeiss CMMs. Use hand‑held MTE tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.). Use Calypso software. Understand high‑level GD&T. Prove out new CMM programs. Work closely with engineering for inspection plans and best practices. Design CMM holding fixtures with engineering. Have a basic understanding of CAD software. Understand customer specification related to dimensional data. Minimum Qualifications & Experience Self‑motivated individual with good math skills. Perform inspections on raw and machined castings, fixtures, and first articles. Read blueprints and interpret customer specifications. Use Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.); CAD experience helpful. Read and follow verbal and written instructions; excellent communication skills both written and oral. Perform precise setups on machine. Positive attitude and attention to detail. Push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be at least 18 years of age. HS diploma or equivalent GED required; candidates with relevant experience may be considered. Solid job history, including more than 1 year at a previous employer. Willing to undergo a pre‑employment background check. Willing to participate in pre‑employment and periodic drug screening. Preferred 2 recent years of dimensional experience working on aerospace castings and as a layout inspector, using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges. Experience operating manual CMM, automated CMM, or CNC machining center. CMM and CNC programming preferred. CAD experience helpful, but not required. Working Conditions Frequently working near moving mechanical parts. Exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, and chemicals; generally not disagreeable. Schedule Monday‑Friday 7am‑3:30pm. Overtime required as needed, may include weekends.
