Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist - Chesterfield
\n\nAre you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for a great opportunity to grow your career? We’re hiring a Cash Application Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)to join our team! In this role, you will help safeguard company assets by ensuring customer payments are accurately applied and processed.
\n\nThis is a full-time, on-site position with the potential to become a permanent role based on performance.
\n\nWhat You'll Do:
\n\nAs a Cash Applications Specialist , you'll be responsible for applying and reconciling incoming payments across multiple platforms to maintain accurate customer account records.
\n\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\nProcess daily payment exceptions in SAP and High Radius Accounts Receivable systems.
\n\t\n\tApply non-POS (Point of Sale)customer credit card payments accurately per customer instructions.
\n\t\n\tPost Accounts Receivable journal entries and issue customer refunds as directed.
\n\t\n\tReview and apply all miscellaneous account requests received via SAP workflow , ensuring compliance with company policies.
\n\t\n\tPost rejections from Biller Direct payments in High Radius.
\n\t\n\tMonitor internal request email queues; respond, research, and escalate inquiries as necessary.
\n\t\n\tClear vendor product certificates against deductions; apply Tax on Cash Discount postings.
\n\t\n\tReconcile District lockboxes daily in SAP when required.
\n\t\n\tIdentify and recommend process improvements.
\n\t\nWhat You Bring to the Table:
\n\n1+ year of experience in Cash Applications or related Accounts Receivable role
\n\t\n\tProficiency in SAP or similar ERP and intermediate Excel skills
\n\t\n\tSolid understanding of debits and credits in AR/Cash Application processes
\n\t\n\tExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills
\n\t\n\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively
\n\t\n\tStrong problem-solving and time-management abilities
\n\t\n\tClear and professional communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
\n\t\n\tDiscretion with sensitive or confidential information
\n\t\n\n\n
